What a loss Indy racing has encountered. I had the previlege of watching Dan Weldon race in Chicago several times. He will be greatly missed. Heart felt sympathy for his family and friends.

I really love the hype @indycars has created around this Vegas race, and I think @SirBen711 might be onto a good idea. It could be a full week of practices on a road course and the oval, then on Saturday we have a big parade in the morning before running a race on a street course in Vegas, then that night we run the oval races. Then Sunday we have the banquet and stuff. We would call it: The Izod Indycar Week of Champions

What Indycar NEEDS to do, is have two races in Vegas. One on the oval and make a street course out of the strip. Make it a month long event. And run both races at night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
