How many people can stay in Las Vegas Hotels at one time?

Question by chrisbez: How many people can stay in las vegas hotels at one time?
I’ve never seen more hotels in one city than in Vegas. Does anybody know how many people can stay in Las Vegas (therefore maximum capacity), if all hotels were running 100% occupancy.

Thanks

The hotel i work in, often has 3-4 people staying in one room. Often 1 person will check in, them more people will end up staying in the room.

  1. amfan22 says:

According to the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority, there were 132,947 hotel and motel rooms in LV in 2007

Maximum occupancy in those rooms are difficult to guess – they vary based on size of room, # of beds, hotel policy, etc. At an estimate of 3 being the average maximum allowed you are probably looking at about 400,000 maximum capacity in hotels and motels.

    250,000

got to be 500,000 if you think how big some of the hotels are with built on convention centres and tourists sure could get busy.
