¿Do yo know something about this? ¿Shows like Cirque du Soleil are presenting normally? ¿How are the things in the hotels?

Thanks.

Everything is great.. I live here.. no problems.. just telling people to take extra precautions by washing their hands frequently..

Downtown Las Vegas

September 6th, 2009

Some locals call downtown Las Vegas “Vintage Vegas.” It’s where much of the action took place back before the late 1980s. It’s still a good place to visit. Many well-known casinos are located in downtown Las Vegas. It’s a great place to go if you want to gamble with lower minimums. Over 17 million people visit downtown Las Vegas annually.

Downtown Las Vegas Gambling

As mentioned, the minimum bets in downtown Las Vegas are lower. They also have high-limit gambling. For instance, finding Blackjack tables with $1-$2 minimum bet is commonplace. Try finding a bunch of $2 Blackjack tables at Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip.

Downtown Las Vegas Casinos

At the very endalmost disconnected from the rest of the casinosare the Western and El Cortez. They are really down the street by themselves. The Western is a very low-end casino, and not something I recommend visitingunless you want to sell drugs while you play Blackjack. The El Cortez is better and features a lot of gambling for your dollar. They even have 40-cent Keno. However, there are better casinos up the street.

By the Fremont Experience, there is a series of casinos that you might be familiar with. First, there’s Binion’s Horseshoe, which was famous for the World Series of Poker among other things. Right across the street is the legendary Golden Nugget. The Golden Nugget still maintains its class and has tables with higher limits.

Another iconic casino that’s located at the end of the street is the Plaza. Perhaps you have seen their poker tournaments on TV. The Plaza will give you great bang for you buck. You might have seen their Center Stage Restaurant in the movie Casino.

There are many other casinos in downtown Las Vegas such as the Golden Gate, Fremont, Four Queens, Fitzgeralds and more.

Fremont Street Experience

One of the main attractions in downtown las vegas is the Fremont Street Experience. Five blocks of Fremont St. are covered with a huge technical canopyits one large big screen. Throughout the night, this canopy provides state-of-the art light and sound showsall for free. There are over 12 million lights in the canopy.

The shows change periodically. They start at dusk each night and run every hour on the hour. Sometimes there are free concerts as well.

I’ve lived in Las Vegas for over 20 years, and I still go down to see the Fremont Street Experience whenever I’m in that area. When the show starts, the lights dim outside and thousands of people stop what they are doing to watch.

There are no shows where you have to be 21. Most shows are all ages, but a select few are 18 and up, such as Zumanity, Thunder Down Under, Chippendales, and any of the more risque shows.

Ticketmaster.com has tickets for alot of the shows here in town. You can also check the individual hotel websites.

Las Vegas Show ~ Remember Red! a Tribute to Red Skelton

http://www.LasVegasActs.com/redskelton.html A couple of clips of Brian Hoffman impersonating Red Skelton. America’s Touch of Class Beauty Pagent 2007 is where part of the video is recorded. I started doing comedy over 10 years ago when people in their 60’s and 70’s would say, “Do you know who you remind me of?… Red Skelton!” It blew me away. I remember watching Red Skelton. I even did one of his jokes for show and tell in school one day. It made all the kids laugh. I never thought I would be doing it as an Adult. I am truly blessed and honored to be able make people laugh while paying tribute to a great and wonderful man, Mr Red Skelton. I do hope you enjoy watching this as much as I did doing it.

Las Vegas Comedy Show, Gertrude and Heathcliff, Red Skelton Impersonator

http://www.LasVegasActs.com/redskelton.html Brian Hoffman doing his impression of the late great Red Skelton. May God bless his sole. Red Skelton created Gertrude and Heathcliff. They were the names of a couple of seagulls who told jokes. Red always had a political or celebrity joke about something that was a current event or issue. I feel truly honored to pay tribute to the man who could get my dad to stop working and laugh. I do hope he appreciates this joke about a celebrity who seemed to be changing men faster than underwear! Red Skelton was known as one of America’s favorite clowns.

Las Vegas Shows/Attractions?

August 30th, 2009

Posted by admin in las vegas shows | 7 Comments »

What are some nice attractions in las vegas? We’re going Dec. 24-28. Nothing too expensive because there are 7 people going.

What are some nice but not too expensive shows? We really liked the Cirque shows, but obviously those are pretty expensive for one person to spend on 7 people.

So overall - what are nice shows and attractions in Las Vegas at a decent price?

could you please provide links?
and i need things that are appropriate for a family and children

Check out this site for the shows. You can see reviews and prices.

A cool show to see is the Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur. It is a dinner show and you have to eat with your fingers like they did back then. You will get involved with a fantastic show and really enjoy yourself. The show and meal cost about 50 bucks a person and well worth every penny.
