Quote in Las Vegas Vacation? "They don’t have games you’re used to Clark!"?

I’m trying to remember the quote from the movie "las vegas vacation." Clark and Cousin Eddie go to some out-of-the-way casino and they’ve got a bunch of redneck games and Cousin Eddie tells Clark (something to the effect) "They’ve don’t have your regular games here!"

Or "You can buy a bullet, and rent a gun."

Las Vegas Shows/Attractions?

August 30th, 2009

Posted by admin in las vegas shows | 7 Comments »

What are some nice attractions in las vegas? We’re going Dec. 24-28. Nothing too expensive because there are 7 people going.

What are some nice but not too expensive shows? We really liked the Cirque shows, but obviously those are pretty expensive for one person to spend on 7 people.

So overall - what are nice shows and attractions in Las Vegas at a decent price?

could you please provide links?
and i need things that are appropriate for a family and children

Check out this site for the shows. You can see reviews and prices.

A cool show to see is the Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur. It is a dinner show and you have to eat with your fingers like they did back then. You will get involved with a fantastic show and really enjoy yourself. The show and meal cost about 50 bucks a person and well worth every penny.

Discounted Hotels in Las Vegas?

I have heard around that las vegas hotels always offer good discounts to tourists (because they want you to gamble in their casino’s). How much truth is to this? And if so what is the best way that I can get a good discount on a three room reservation in the month of march ‘08?

This site has some great deals on hotel rooms

I have tried it and it worked out really well and good price.

Anyone Know How To Get LOW (cheapest) Rates From Venetian Las Vegas Hotel?

August 30th, 2009

Posted by admin in venetian hotel | 3 Comments »

Any web-site or promotional code i can use for this hotel?
If not…do you got any ideas where i can stay in Las Vegas for cheap price on the strip In July?

CHEAP for me is: $60 a night to $100 a night (want a 2night weekend for less then $200). Going for a wedding :)
Thanks!

Do a Google search for VENETIAN LAS VEGAS PROMO CODE

Even with a promo code the rate will almost certainly be over $100 per night. All the luxury properties will be over $100… Caesars Palace, Mandalay Bay, Wynn, Encore, Bellagio, Palazzo, THEhotel.

Trump MIGHT have a deal under $100… but they don’t have a casino and they’re not right on the strip. If they’re under $100 that will be the best place you can book at that price though.

Fairly nice strip hotels which should be under $100 include Bally’s (center strip) and Luxor (south strip). Don’t choose a hotel solely for the price though. Read guest reviews before booking. Just do a Google search for

LUXOR LAS VEGAS REVIEWS

BALLYS las vegas REVIEWS

etc.

How can my daugther sell her Las Vegas holiday quickly?

August 30th, 2009

Posted by admin in las vegas | 5 Comments »

My daughter booked a holiday in las vegas for next Tuesday to get married. Now she has to cancel because her partner can’t travel without a Visa and it’s too late to get one, what should she do?

Not enough information given. If she just reserved a room she can cancel it now with no charge. That is if she reserved it directly with the hotel. If she bought a package from a travel site then she is out of luck unless she bought the insurance. Airline tickets if purchased economy on most major airlines can be changed for a $100 fee per ticket. If Soudhwest there is no charge.

Fine Dining In Orlando Florida

August 30th, 2009

Posted by admin in venetian hotel | 10 Comments »

When you enjoy the vacation of your life in Orlando, Florida you may want to treat yourself and your family to a meal at some of the finer restaurants in the area. Here is a pick of some of my favorites.

California Grill

Located on the 15th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort this restaurant was voted Orlando’s Most Popular restaurant. Its renowned chef Clifford Pleau continually reinvents his “unique seasonal menus”, creating “divine” dishes paired with an “equally eloquent wine list”; add “impeccable” service and “spectacular” views of the park and its fireworks, and the result is truly great, even if it is accompanied by tourists wearing shorts and Mickey Mouse ears! Location: Disney World, Contemporary Hotel, $41

Christini’s

This restaurant has been called “a treasure among restaurants”, and is located in the in the Dr. Phillips area of South Orlando. It is well-known for lavish meals, complemented by a 450-label wine list. The food is served in a romantic setting with strolling musicians giving you the ambience of a night out in Italy. However, the feasting here does not come cheap and the prices are “high” even by “expense-account” standards. South Orlando 7600 Dr. Phillips Blvd., $52

Hemingways

If you have always loved the mystique of Ernest Hemingway then this is the place to go. The Hemingway-at-Key-West decor (rods and reels, a stuffed marlin, nautical trinkets) at this Lake Buena Vista hotel seafood house makes you feel like you’ve spent the day fishing with Hemingway. Guests describe it as “a nice place to bring clients” or to celebrate “special occasions” and some of the favorite dishes include coconut shrimp and paella. Lake Buena Vista 1 Grand Cypress Blvd. $41

Morton’s of Chicago

If price is no object to a good meal then this steakhouse is the place for you. When was the last time you’ve had beef so tender and full of flavor that you have to remark after every bite? While the steakhouse is particularly close to the Central Florida theme parks, it is tucked away in the quaint Doctor Phillips Marketplace, a respite of sorts from nearby tourist hangouts. The clientèle is made up of Orlando executives and Orlando business travelers. They are all here to drink martinis and sink their teeth into the juicy porterhouse, sirloin and Maine lobster. As for side dishes, don’t pass up the specialty, potatoes Lyonnaise. Location: 7600 Dr. Phillips Blvd. $60

Venetian Room

This is a fine-dining restaurant that prides itself on offering an elegant experience of the highest level. The chef de cuisine is Khalid Benghallem, a former sous chef at Emeril’s and the opening chef at Shula’s Steakhouse in the Dolphin Hotel. The menu is typical for an upscale restaurant in this category and includes foie gras, crab cake, lamb rack, veal chops and other dishes. However, it is the special preparation of these common items that makes this restaurant special. You will, however, have to pay for this unique treat. This is not a cheap restaurant and appetizers range from $14 to $17, and six of the seven entries are more.than $30. Location: Caribe Royal Hotel 8101 World Center Drive

There you have it. If price is no object, and you just want to enjoy a fine meal at a great restaurant, then one of these Orlando restaurants will certainly satisfy you.

10 Things You Must Know About Handling Your Money In Las Vegas

August 30th, 2009

Posted by admin in las vegas vacation | No Comments »

Are you planning a las vegas vacation?

If so, then you need to know the way to handle your money in Las Vegas. Las Vegas isn’t called the city of ‘lost wages’ for nothing. If you’re not careful, it’s almost like your money just slips through your fingers almost like magic.

Did you know if you take out your money at one kind of ATM you could lose the same amount of your withdrawal in fees? It’s important to always be aware of the fees that are involved whenever your money changes hands in Las Vegas. If you are ever in doubt then simply ask a local. They’ll know the places to go and the places you should avoid.

If you don’t know how to handle your finances in Las Vegas, chances are you will end up a lot worse off in your hip pocket.

A little pre-planning and research will ensure that you pay the very least that you have to to exchange foreign currency, cash cheques and to get a cash advance.

Of course, if you’re on vacation the last thing you want to do is to get a high interest loan while away only to return back home fro your vacation destination owing the original amount of money you borrowed PLUS 100 percent interest or more.

Here are some helpful tips for handling your money on your Las Vegas vacation.

1. Travellers cheques are not a problem at casinos, restaurants, hotels and shops in Las Vegas. You will be required to show photo id for verification.

2. Every major casino is happy to exchange your foreign currency. They will of course charge you a fee in the form of a discount from the official exchange rate applicable and for this reason you will get the best deal by using a commercial bank for this kind of banking transaction.

3. Unsecured loans are difficult to obtain in Las Vegas.

4. Many casinos will give you a credit voucher to gamblers who apply for a loan in advance of their Las Vegas vacation.

5. Most large casinos have ATMS (automatic teller machines) where you can withdraw cash from your bank account or credit card account. If you are withdrawing a cash advance you must be aware that some financial institutions charge a very hefty fee for withdrawals.

6. Cheque cashing agencies specialise in interstate money orders, savings accounts and personal cheques. You will need identification and the fee will vary depending on the complexity of the transaction.

7. If you are expecting a tax refund las vegas has instant tax refund stands. What you are essentially doing is taking out a short term loan at an extremely high interest rate. The cost of the loan can be as high as 100 percent! This type of transaction should definitely be used with caution.

8. Las Vegas pawn shops – once again, these should always be used with caution. Don’t ever hand over something to a pawn broker that is of extreme personal value unless you can really live without it.

9. Always make sure your wallet is in a safe place. Vegas is also famous for pickpockets. Women should have purses that zip shut and have long straps on handbags so that they can go diagonally across your shoulder. Men should keep their wallet in their front pocket at all times. Keep your purse, wallet or bum bag with you at all times. Never put it down anywhere.

10. Keep a very close eye on your poker chips at casino tables. There are actually professional people who grab your chips when you are not looking.

August 30th, 2009

Posted by admin in las vegas hotels | No Comments »

Las Vegas real estate for sale seems to be appearing with a SOLD sign at an alarming rate. So what is it others know about las vegas real estate for sale that you don’t? There are many reasons for the fast turn over but there are three reasons for the boom.

Las Vegas Real Estate For Sale At Low Prices
Now you might think that housing prices have gone through the roof in Vegas and they certainly have increased but one of the reasons for the boom is because compared to other markets the Las Vegas real estate for sale is much more affordable. And lower prices generate interest and of course sales and then the increased demand creates a boom like Vegas hasn’t seen before.

Las Vegas Real Estate For Sale Has Been Manhattanized
We’ve all heard of super sized but what about manhattanized? Did you know that Las Vegas real estate for sale has been Manhattanized?

Sitting in the middle of the dessert is Las Vegas with all that dessert land surrounding it. You might be surprised to discover that there isn’t as much land available for sale as you might think. That’s because so much of it has been purchased previously and is set aside for future developments. And BLM is only released yearly in small amounts leaving little available in the Las Vegas real estate for sale pool. So what to do?

Well just like the hotels such as figured out years ago that up was the answer more and more impressive high rise casino hotels began adorning the strip and with more demand for high rise condos Las Vegas real estate for sale suddenly saw high rise opportunities popping up all over.

And it seemed the more Las Vegas real estate for sale went up on and around the strip the more demand arouse which caused a snow ball effect that lead to the boom that is currently being seen through out Vegas.

Las Vegas Real Estate For Sale Has A Whole New Image
Wealth, relaxation, and of course the weather all combine together to provide Las Vegas real estate for sale with an increasingly high demand. It seems for years Las Vegas had a tarnished image. Many believed that Vegas was only a place where you might gamble, and party a lot. We’ve all hear that saying “what goes on in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas.”

But that image is diminishing. Yes certainly there is certainly still an awful lot of partying and gambling but there is an entirely different side to Las Vegas that’s actually been there all along.

That’s why Las Vegas real estate for sale is turning over so quickly. Especially single family dwellings after all that’s what families want which is who’s moving to town.

In conclusion, Las Vegas real estate for sale is moving at a rate faster than ever before and that demand has created increasing prices no matter where that Las Vegas real estate for sale is located.

Getting Married Without A Hitch In Las Vegas

August 30th, 2009

Posted by admin in las vegas | No Comments »

As the Beatles said, “All you need is love, love, Love is all you need” Immortalizing the famous words of this song, love is really all you need to get married in Las Vegas.

It’s no surprise then, that Las Vegas is considered the wedding capital of the world, with over 122,000 marriage licenses being issued every year! They call it “Getting married without a hitch- Las Vegas style”.

Getting married is an experience in itself, but getting married in Las Vegas, takes the whole experience into another dimension. The official government agency that issues marriage licenses in las vegas, the Clark County Marriage License Bureau, is open everyday, including holidays, from 8 a.m. to midnight. How’s that for service! It’s no wonder they manage to issue so many licenses a year.

Forget boring “Wedding on the Beach” and other mundane wedding themes. In Las Vegas nobody would raise an eyebrow if you exchanged vows dressed as Star Trek characters or in Medieval costumes. Even the chapels get into the theme act in Las Vegas. Not only do they help you with your wedding vows and religious ceremonies, but they will also suggest a variety of ceremony themes and also help you choose your costumes and organize the décor. Most chapels even have costumes that you can rent. Professional, experienced staff is on hand to help you with the most simple to the most outré requests. Wedding chapels also offer bridal couples a variety of custom-designed packages to suit every budget and every style.

Plenty of costume shops and florists dot the area as well as shops that sell or rent tuxedos, gowns and any other accessory you can think of. Don’t forget the rings! It’s probably a better idea to pass on the idea of hiring wedding rings and buy them instead. You’d definitely want something more than photographs to commemorate this unforgettable experience.

For those looking to beat the record of “Quickest Wedding Ceremony”, Las Vegas even offers you a choice of drive-thru weddings. A word of caution here - don’t stop for the fries if you are aiming for the record.

So if you are looking for a unique one-of-a-kind wedding, make plans to go to Las Vegas, where all it takes is love, valid identification and $55 to get married.
